Terms of Use

Last updated: June 20, 2026

These Terms describe the rules for using VoiceHaven during beta testing, including parent or guardian responsibility, adult own-voice consent, private use, provider limitations, deletion, and support routes.

VoiceHaven beta features are narrow by design. Use fake or minimal child profile data and only your own or disposable adult voice.

Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms apply to your use of VoiceHaven during beta testing. By creating an account or using VoiceHaven, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use VoiceHaven. For support, abuse reports, or TestFlight feedback, contact support@voicehaven.app. For deletion or consent disputes, contact privacy@voicehaven.app.

Parent Or Guardian Responsibility

VoiceHaven beta accounts are parent or guardian accounts, not child accounts. You confirm that you are the parent, guardian, or person with lawful authority to create and manage any child profile information you enter.

You are responsible for deciding whether VoiceHaven is appropriate for your family, supervising any use by children, keeping account access secure, and avoiding unnecessary child data in profiles, screenshots, support requests, or bug reports.

Current Beta Scope

  • Parent or guardian account setup.
  • One minimal child profile using fake or minimal testing data.
  • One consented adult voice avatar.
  • Approved built-in story narration where provider-backed narration is enabled.
  • Private playback within VoiceHaven.
  • Support, audit, deletion, and safety controls.

Voice Recording And Consent

For the beta, you may only record your own adult voice or a disposable adult test voice that you control. The actual adult speaker must self-record and accept the consent wording before any voice sample upload or voice avatar processing.

You must not record or upload a child voice, a family member's voice, another person's voice, a public figure or celebrity voice, a deceased person's voice, a hidden recording, or any recording where consent or authority is unclear.

You must not use VoiceHaven for impersonation, deception, fraud, harassment, abuse, misleading content, or any voice use that violates another person's rights.

No Child, Family, Or Third-Party Voice Misuse

You must not use VoiceHaven to clone, imitate, generate, publish, or distribute audio that misuses a child voice, family member voice, third-party voice, identity, likeness, or rights.

If a consent dispute, abuse report, safety issue, or suspected voice misuse arises, VoiceHaven may suspend or delete the relevant voice avatar, generated audio, account access, provider reference, or related data while the issue is reviewed.

No Public Sharing During Testing

VoiceHaven beta narration is for private family testing only. Do not publish, sell, stream, redistribute, export, or publicly share generated audio, voice avatars, provider outputs, screenshots containing private data, or beta-only content unless VoiceHaven later releases an approved sharing feature with updated terms.

Provider Limitations

VoiceHaven may use backend providers such as ElevenLabs to process adult voice samples and generate narration when enabled. Provider processing may be disabled, delayed, rate-limited, unavailable, removed, or limited by provider policies, technical constraints, safety controls, account settings, or cost controls.

Generated narration may not perfectly match the speaker's voice, intent, emotion, pronunciation, language, accent, or style. Do not treat synthetic narration as the speaker's live communication, legal statement, emergency message, medical advice, crisis support, safeguarding tool, or safety-critical instruction.

Prohibited Use

  • Impersonating any person in a misleading, harmful, or unlawful way.
  • Creating deceptive, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, exploitative, threatening, harassing, or unlawful audio.
  • Creating, uploading, or using child voice clones.
  • Using public figure, celebrity, deceased-person, third-party, family-member, or hidden recordings.
  • Reverse engineering, extracting, selling, exporting, or redistributing voice avatars, provider outputs, private generated audio, provider IDs, provider secrets, signed URLs, or private user data.
  • Bypassing plan limits, consent checks, safety gates, deletion controls, provider controls, backend controls, or private storage protections.
  • Using VoiceHaven for emergency, medical, crisis, legal, safeguarding, or safety-critical decisions.

Future Paid Features Are Inactive

Paid features, checkout, subscriptions, RevenueCat lifecycle, family plans, paid catalogues, paid books, uploads, AI stories, offline downloads, listening history, and Comfort Mode are inactive in the current beta unless a later reviewed release explicitly enables them.

Any paid feature launch requires updated pricing, cancellation, refund, entitlement, App Store or Google Play, tax, privacy, and support disclosures.

Deletion And Support

You may request deletion of account data, child profile data, voice recordings, voice avatars, generated audio, and related provider deletion or deactivation by emailing privacy@voicehaven.app.

Deletion should stop future VoiceHaven use of the relevant avatar or data where technically supported. Deletion may not be instant across backups, logs, provider systems, fraud-prevention records, legal records, or support records that need to be kept for legitimate reasons.

Service Availability

VoiceHaven may change, pause, disable, limit, or remove features for safety, privacy, legal, provider, cost, security, testing, maintenance, or product reasons. Beta data may be reset or removed during testing.

No Emergency Or Safety-Critical Use

VoiceHaven is not an emergency service, medical tool, therapy product, crisis intervention service, safeguarding product, legal advice product, or safety-critical communication system. Do not use VoiceHaven for urgent support, medical advice, crisis response, child safety decisions, or emergency communications.

Changes

VoiceHaven may update these Terms as the beta changes, as providers change, or as legal and App Store review requirements are clarified. The Last updated date will show when this page changed.
