Who We Are

VoiceHaven is the service name used to provide the app. The service is designed for a parent or guardian to control their account and the family information connected to it.

Current Service

The current VoiceHaven service supports a verified parent or guardian account, one parent-managed child profile, consent-first recording of the adult user's own voice, access to an approved built-in story, settings, and in-app account deletion.

VoiceHaven does not currently send voice recordings to a voice-generation provider or create provider-generated narration. AI stories, user-uploaded stories, payments, subscriptions, premium features, and offline mode are not part of the current service.

Information We Collect

Account and verification information

We collect information needed to create, verify, secure, and manage a parent or guardian account. This includes an account or display name if supplied, email address, Firebase user identifier, email-verification status, account status, preferred language, and account timestamps.

VoiceHaven does not require or collect a phone number or mobile number, a dialling or calling code, a signup country or country code, or a device time zone for account creation or normal use of the current service. VoiceHaven does not infer a user's location from country or time-zone information. Limited operational, security, support, and deletion records are described separately below.

Child profile information

A parent or guardian can provide a name or nickname, age or age range, preferred language, interests, and sensitivity settings for one child profile. This information is linked to and controlled by the parent or guardian account.

Adult voice recording and consent information

If you choose voice setup, VoiceHaven collects the adult user's own voice recording, recording metadata, voice-profile details, consent confirmations, and related timestamps. The current release stores this information for the private account experience but does not send it to a voice-generation provider.

Story, activity, and operational information

We may collect story access events and limited operational records needed for app functionality, security, reliability, support, and deletion. The approved built-in story is service content, not user-uploaded family content.

Support communications

If you contact support, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address, the issue description, and any follow-up correspondence. Do not send passwords, verification codes, child voice recordings, or unnecessary child information.

How We Use Information

• Create, verify, authenticate, and protect parent or guardian accounts.
• Provide parent-controlled child profiles and story-library functionality.
• Provide and safeguard consent-first adult voice recording and voice setup.
• Operate the app, prevent misuse, investigate failures, and provide support.
• Process account deletion and other privacy or consent requests.
• Meet legal, security, and record-keeping obligations where applicable.

Service Providers

VoiceHaven uses Firebase and Google services for authentication, database storage, file storage, and server functions. The production email-verification service uses Resend to deliver verification messages. Vercel hosts the public legal and support pages and may process ordinary web-request information such as IP address, browser details, and request timestamps.

These providers process information on VoiceHaven's behalf under their applicable terms and privacy commitments. VoiceHaven does not currently share information with AI story, voice-generation, narration, payment, or subscription providers because those features are not available.

Apple may process information independently when you download or use VoiceHaven through Apple's services. Apple's handling is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

Tracking And Advertising

VoiceHaven does not use information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. The current app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. The public legal site does not use advertising cookies.

Children And Parent Control

VoiceHaven accounts are for parents or guardians, not children. A parent or guardian must have the authority to provide and manage any child profile information entered into VoiceHaven. Use a nickname and the minimum information needed for the family story experience.

Do not record or upload a child's voice. Voice setup is limited to the actual adult user recording their own voice after reviewing and accepting the consent information.

Retention And Deletion

We keep account, child profile, adult voice recording, consent, and operational information only while needed to provide and protect the service, resolve support or safety issues, and meet applicable legal obligations.

You can delete an individual voice you created. Individual voice deletion removes the voice recording or sample, the voice avatar record, linked voice metadata, and associated user-owned generated assets where applicable.

You can also delete your VoiceHaven account from Settings. Account deletion removes the Firebase account, remaining voices and recordings, child profiles, user-owned content, user-generated audio where applicable, and other account data covered by the deletion process. Use account deletion only when you are ready to lose access because it cannot be undone.

Limited security, audit, support, legal, or backup records may remain for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they are retained. Deletion does not remove unrelated records. Normal use of the current service does not create a provider voice record because voice recordings are not currently sent to a voice-generation provider. If provider processing is introduced, deletion will remain subject to the provider's confirmed behaviour and applicable retention obligations.

Security And Transfers

VoiceHaven uses account authentication, email verification, access rules, private storage controls, server-side functions, and account-scoped records to reduce unauthorised access. No technical or organisational measure can guarantee absolute security.

Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, VoiceHaven relies on the safeguards and contractual terms made available by those providers and applicable law.

Your Choices And Rights

You can choose not to create a child profile or record your voice. You can review settings, delete your account in the app, or contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or another privacy right available where you live.

We may need to verify that a request comes from the account holder before acting on it.

Changes

We may update this policy when the service, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where required.
